I am pretty much set on becoming a MD but recently, have been fascinated with dentistry as well. I took the initiative to observe a dentist for a week and loved the field along with his practice. Now, I am double minded on which professional school to attend. I am currently in the beginning years of undergraduate so I have much time to decide but I don't want to limit my options at this point. The EC's and research I plan to do has to do entire with the medical field so would this be looked down upon if I chose to do dentistry?

Not at all...Dentistry is simply medicine with a specialty in the oral cavity. Every component surrounding dentistry is interelated to medicine, just as any sub specialty of medicine is. The human body is an integrated system, and a small impact in one area, may have a corresponding effect in another. To anwser your question, research is highly admired by adcoms, and really makes an application stand out regardless of the type of research. GL on making your decision.

i hope you're not doing this cause you think dentistry is an easy way to get rich. Dentistry is a lot harder than it looks.

Should I plan to take any additional courses besides the ones mentioned below? I want the best chances to get into a dental school.
