First post... I'm just not sure I'm doing enough. Currently I volunteer 4 hours every week at my local hospital, either surgery waiting room or the registration desk. I also started volunteering at a free clinic and I go there about once a month. I'm member of my student research club at my college and a member of Phi Theta Kappa (yes I go to community college). I have also shadowed about 30 hours so far and I'm currently a sophmore*.

I just recently started back at college after leaving for 3 years becuase I was immature. I had about a 2.75 average for 60 credit hours, but since then I have a 3.66c. So I feel as if I'm on track for an upward trend, but not sure where to expand my EC's except for adding research... Any ideas?

Sounds like you are on track! There is no cook book recipe for getting in. Be yourself and do the things you are interested in. What you are doing sounds great!

Those ECs are great, though they are common. Think of doing things that will stick out to the ADCOMs i.e. (get a pilots license, build a boat, or join the National Guard). The good news is that you've got some time to get creative. You'll need something extra if your GPA or MCAT end up being mediocre.
