ECU Interview
Started by imayemeni89
last year it was in the big health building. heart building or whatever it was called. i wouldnt worry about not getting enough info in time. ECU was pretty darn organized last year. especially if you're within driving distance. i highly recommend staying at a hotel though, even if you are close. it just eases the nerves that much more.
and the interview is also nothing to worry about. they just want to get to know you. 😀

See u there JMC
Can anyone provide some insight into the turn around time between when your app was complete and when you received an invite? My application was in a tad later than last year (last rec letter should have been received first week of Sept), and I was just wondering when to start getting anxious 😀

What Letter of recommendation are you waiting on that only ecu wants?
Oh I see. I went the committee letter route instead because my alma mater had a pre professional committee so I had to.
Yea that sucks when you miss that deadline. It'll all work out didn't you apply last cycle?
Hopefully you land some more interviews jmc.

Thanks sneil, same to you! And the twitter account was an awesome idea by the way, it's really neat to see some perspective from the inside. Hopefully I'll be seeing you all later this fall. Until then, good luck with the grind!
Where were your two interviews at NRG? (UNC and ECU)? Those are the two I have in right now, and I hope to get more; however, I may be in the same boat you were in last year......
I've got my fingers crossed, good luck to you this year.....![]()
thanks! gluck to you and everyone else in here. 👍
and yes, UNC and ECU interviews last year.
To those who interviewed yesterday, Sept. 27th, how did the interviews go? What was the itenerary and did they have a group session for the interviewees to play with Ipads?
Simply put it went phenomenal yesterday. LL and CC do a great job of hosting for the day and everyone makes you feel very welcomed. We had a total of three faculty interviews and we had the group learning activity. Lunch with the first year students is a great opportunity to get a feel for the overall atmosphere. Ross Hall is taking shape quickly and is going to be sweet when it is completed. The sim-lab that they have set up in Brody for the first year students is rather impressive. When do you interview Tim? Best of luck…
Had my interview yesterday at ECU! Mr. Lowery and Dr. Wilson were wonderful and I couldn't be more impressed with the school! It was a very relaxed and extremely well organized interview schedule. It started and ended exactly on time, lunch was provided, nice tour of the health services buildings and future dental building. Everyone was really nice. Met two D1's who were really open to questions and answered them to their best ability. The technology they are incorporating into their curriculum is amazing! When complete (July/August 12') it WILL be the most tech advanced school.
Also, a huge impression made on me, they had very carefully gone through our files and had great questions for us. I'm prior military and each of them offered their thanks for my service.
Needless to say I was very impressed and really, really enjoyed the day!

Nothing yet for me either! Getting nervous...but I just recently sent in the secondary. When did you submit yours?

I believe my supplemental was submitted at the very beginning of September.

for the both of us bro. I grew up in greenville, so ecu dental would be ideali *think* my last LOR was finally sent last monday/tuesday. So that completes my application (which was actually complete pretty darn early) but according to ECU it is not at the bottom, its in active review, just on hold. so hopefully the late LOR request will not screw me over 🙁
I received an invite this morning, set it up for Nov 3rd. Super excited!!!

Thanks man, still no word for you? When I called they said they had openings around the 27th, 28th, 2nd, and 3rd. I had to take the latter b/c of my work schedule, but if openings are available on the 27th/28th, that means they're only sending out invites about 10-14 days in advance. Still time for you to nab a pre-Dec one! Good luck...
Congrats to you chapelhillT I got the interview invite as well.

Still no word for me man, but I sent my secondary out later than yours. Hoping I'll hear back within the next week or so. But its good to hear they are still interviewing pre-dec! Keeps me hopeful!
Hey guys. I'm interviewing at ECU this week and had a quick question. I live about an hour outside of Greenville and will be driving there the morning of the interview. In the email confirmation, it says we are to meet Mr. Lowery outside Laupus Library at 8:10 to pick up a parking pass. Having never been on campus I wanted toknow where to park in the interim before picking up the parking pass or how that works? Dumb question, I know, but knowing exactly where to be at the correct time will help ease my stress a little. Thanks!
Just park anywhere in the library parking lot. They'll show you where to move to when you get the pass. But if you're that concerned, I think it's lot B? It's the area further away from the entrance, beyond the road and the roundabout. Thats a terrible description on my part, but youll see when you get there.

When I went, it wasn't Mr. Lowery that met us. It was some of the staff. However, they give you a pass and direct you to park one lot further away. This seems like a bit of a distance, but truthfully it takes all of about 5 minutes to do everything. We had no problems parking and its a very small group, we had a total of 8.
Good luck!

There should be someone that is standing right outside of laupus on the sidewalk... just pull your car right up to the front and then they will direct you to the B lot... if not just park in the A lot (the one right in front of the library) and goes inside. If they aren't outside they will probably be right up the stairs at the entrance of the library...
good luck 🙂
Does anyone else have an interview on Dec. 7th? Any advise for the interview?
