How do you edit your personal statement? I tried and it won't let me. I haven't submitted yet, so I should be able to. I make the changes, click save, preview it, it's changed, then go to check back and it's not changed.
Make sure you're not over the 4500 character limit. If it is, it won't save.
As far as I know I'm not over it. Won't it tell me if I am? I am able to save, preview and see the change, then when I go to check my application it hasn't made the change.
depends on what changes you want to make. You won't be able to indent your paragraphs or anything like that.
My advisor wanted me to add a couple of sentences in the first paragraph. I copied and pasted from word, and I don't see a character count at the bottom.
I don't think mine showed a character count until I was UNDER the limit.

Copy and paste your personal statement to a word document and check it there. Sounds like a case of excessive characters to me.
