Hey pre PT folks...
First off congrats to those who just got in to this cycle, and to those who did not... Chin up and keep trying.
I will be applying this coming cycle, and when I was browsing the PTCAS application, I came across this -
"By designating any of the above, you are considered to have met the criteria for educationally/environmentally disadvantaged as defined by the above guidelines."
Does this weigh negatively against an applicant? I dropped out of highschool and got my GED many, many moons ago. Since then I spent the better part of a decade managing Guitar Center stores all over the US before I decided to return to school.
I started over from scratch at the local CC then transferred to UTSA. I have not yet taken the GRE but with 1 year left to go my current cumulative is 3.99, pre requisite GPA is the same.
No GRE score yet, plan on taking it in late May.
Anyhow... I am tired and rambling at this point, so back to my original inquiry, is this at all a bad thing?
Thanks!
