All right, First Aid Step 2 (page 390 8th edition) says off you have a sever egg allergy then MMR is contraindicated. MTB Step (page 342) goes out of its way to state that a "documented" egg allergy is NOT a CI for the MMR vaccine. Is this some BS with the wording? What should I answer if this comes up on the test?

The contraindications for MMR that I have are:
1) moderate or severe febrile illness
2) anaphylaxis to neomycin or gelatin (or to prior vaccine)
3) severe immunosuppressed states
4) thrombocytopenia following 1st dose of MMR
5) recent immunoglobulin treatment
6) pregnancy.

This is from UWorld (Step 3). So, I am pretty sure that even with an egg allergy, you can give the MMR vaccine.
