After looking at this, I am even more convinced that if you are interested in doing your residency in NY, Einstein is the way to go!

Hey, Dr. Kermit, how about that 3.3 for residency reputation from USNews, huh? It's still too low given how ridiculously well they do on match day (especially if you compare with the other NY schools)... but at least now we know that previous 2.9 was a fluke!

Thanks for the info 🙂 I had had a preliminary match list from 2002, but it was from my interviewer. It had all the names of the students on it, so I didn't know how to delete them and post the list!

I'm psyched to go since Temple sent me their horrible FA package!

No FA package yet from AE, just a bunch of "please come here" mail. Ahh, it doesn't matter though b/c it only costs me 3K more a year to go to Einstein! So, happy to almost be done with this mess. Now, will someone tell me where to borrow $33K?

Where do you guys find this info about the usnews residency rankings (einstein being 3.3)?

I frankly never heard of such rankings and I don't think nobody in my class is very concerned about those.

I would be curious to know what is their system for ranking the schools.

hey panamajack, welcome to SDN!

in the USNEWs rankings, there is a column with a "reputation by residency directors" score... they used to be online too, but now you have to pay to see it.

this year though, i heard they used data from last year cuz the results were too different or something... who knows...

anyway, their methodology should be in the magazine and their website somewhere... (as others will tell you, their method is pretty flawed)

PANAMAJACK- since you're a first year at Einstein, would you mind sharing your opinion of the school? What would you consider its strengths and weaknesses? What do you like/dislike about the school?

lots of us are trying to decide where to go, so your input as a student is greatly appreciated!!!

(also, if you don't mind, can you tell us where you are from and what other schools you were considering? what made you choose Einstein?)
