accepted at two of my dream schools and I could t be happier!! I’m having such a tough time but I’m leaning towards Pitt, although I am drawn to them for different reasons.

Pitt:

Pros:
Absolutely amazing hospital network(UPMC) with phenomenal residency programs in many specialties who take their own
Great research opportunities to become competitive in my specialty of choice
Great sports city and true college atmosphere which I’ve never experienced before
Students seemed very happy
Best feel during my interview day of any school I interviewed at
Tremendous simulation center which I fully intend to utilize

Cons:

Only big con is that I’m from NY and I’m a big family person, so I would be living with no support system near me for 4 years

Einstein:

Pros: great reputation and a true commitment to the underserved populations surrounding the school
Also had very happy students who seemed very laid back
Have a tremendous connection at this school that is hard for me not to take into account
Great match list that is comparable to Pitt
Very close to my family and ultimately I want to practice medicine in New York and I know I can match very in NY

Cons:
Facilities seem outdated and old
Administration seems very disorganized which makes me worry about other aspects of the school
Bronx is not the best area in the world to live

Pitt. You will be able to match where ever you want.

Pitt is better overall, great research school and has a reputation. You will get into better residencies through Pitt.

If i was in your place, I would go with Pitt for the same reasons @HRNYKIng and @libertyyne stated.

I agree with @Manzielf, Pitt is better but it comes down to how much you can afford as well. if Einstein gave you significantly more money than do that. If there is a small difference where the benefits of UPitt will outweigh some of the costs than pick UPitt instead.

I chose Pitt and it wasn’t even close at the end. Pitt offered me 8x the amount of need based aid(not even an exaggeration) and is the better ranked school/Hospital system. Fell in love at second look as well, are you matriculating to pitt?

Yes, I loved everything about Pitt as well! The only downside for me is not much financial aid from them. I'm waiting to hear back from some WL schools, but I look forward to being your classmate if I go there 🙂
