What do you think the main differences, advantages, and disadvantages are between these schools?

I withdrew from Einstein so I can't comment except on the obviousness of it benefitting from being extremely close to Manhattan.

With regards to Rochester, I loved it -- I thought the curriculum was superbly designed, had a wonderful mix of PBL/Traditional lecture, and all the students/faculty there were phenominally nice and genuinely interested in getting to know the applicants. Rochester is a very nice little city but it's DAMN cold in the winter. . .

Wonderful school, wonderful curriculum and the first school to accept me! :)

I would kill to go to Einstein, mainly for two reasons:
-The students all love that school, and the school itself absolutely babies you to make sure you don't fail out.
-It has an amazing selection of clinical sites for 3rd and 4th year between Montefiore, Jacobi, LIJ and Beth Israel.

You also have the benefit of living in NYC, and Rochester is in the middle of nowhere. To be fair, though, I know VERY little of the Rochester program or how things run up there.

a great thing about einstein (my best friend goes there) is that you live 30 minutes away from lower manhattan by bus.....and a 3 bedroom in student housing (which is fairly big) is only 1100 a month!!!!! You're luck to pay that much for parking in most parts of NYC.
