EK FL1 Bio Q- how to go about reading these graphs?

I can't quite understand how to read these graphs in order to answer the question. And I don't quite understand the answer explanation they give. Any help here? Pretty please?

I had difficulty reading those graphs too. "opposite effects in the different germ layers." - opposite effects of what? low mesoderm and endoderm expression of what?
 
I think the Y axis of the graphs is essentially how much differentiation there was into a particular germ layer. So the most differentiation into mesoderm occurred under the 3rd conditions, the most ectoderm under none, and the most endoderm under the 4th conditions. From this I think that you can argue that the 3 germ layers differentiate best under different conditions, and they do not differentiate well under the conditions that the other layers do differentiate well in.
