MCAT in two months, knowledge stuff DOWN...getting bored of studying science so picked up the EK Verbal 101...and man is it discouraging! All the VR I've been doing thus far on various books/practice tests I've been killing because of my speed reading and scanning skills...But jesus even the warm up in the EK got me sweating.

Im glad though, now I can kill this book and kill it on the actual test!

I have the EK VR book and it's kind of a bear. My practice tests were 11/21, 16/21, and 10/21 🙁 but it's good to get that kind of practice

Eh. I personally did not like the EK verbal book. I constantly scored around 9-10 and more importantly the answer key just frustrated me to the point where I wanted to set the book on fire.... I thought TBR was better prep for the verbal sections and both the AAMC verbal and TBR verbal were better indicators of my score.

The answer key is probably the weakest part of that book. The actual content is great, but the shorthand key is often off and you need to go through each question individually to get the right answers.
