EK's verbal 101?

hey guyss, i have heard a lot of good things about the EK books. i was just wondering what you guys think of the ek verbal 101 books. i am having the hardest time with verbal sections 😱 and i have tried the the kaplan verbal tests, but nothing matches up to the real ones. i havent tried princeton review books yet. ive heard they are good too, but they have lots of errors? please enlgihten me...LOL 🙂

I thought EK was very close to the actual AAMC tests. The only thing that they should fix is adding in passages that have 10 questions in them so that you get used to taking those. Kaplan's just felt weird. I'm not sure why that was. I have no idea what TPR is like.

I recommend using EK, but just make sure that you do AAMC practice tests as well to get used to taking 10 question passages.

I'm not sure if others have already suggested this on the forum, but you might consider getting an LSAT book; it will give you lots of opportunity to practice verbal reasoning skills. I'm still waiting for the ExamKracker's 101 Verbal Reasoning Passages book, but I'll let you know when I check it out. 🙂

ek's verbal is wacked. there really are some wrong answers in there, and i'm no conspiracy idiot. but, for sheer volume, you've gotta love it.

Would anyone agree that the EK 101 passages are more difficult than the AAMCAS passages? Is that the method that the EK people are using on the VR. . to only have difficult questions?
