Elective in PGY2 year

I am having a tough time deciding on an elective for my pgy2 year in neurology. I am wondering if I should be thinking about fellowship (I.e. Making contacts and getting letters) that early on, or should I take something chill to give myself a break during the busy PGY 2 year? When do neurology residents generally apply for fellowship and can the pgy3 year be used for getting letters etc.

Any thoughts?
