I was wondering if anyone knew of any good elective rotations that I could schedule in the L.A. area as a visiting 3rd year student. I'm from L.A. and am in Chicago right now.

I was hoping to do something procedural or possibly radiology. My elective starts 10/31

Thanks!

sweet fp residency, cool people, reasonable work load. they break a four week clerkship into 2 two week blocks. you can do surg if you are interested in procedures. i am not sure how they are with third years, tho. prob will be cool with it.

good luck

Ventura is kinda far from L.A. Anything closer?

that's exactly what I was going to say!

in cali i rotated at UC irvine and VCMC...personally, it is my lifes goal to avoid LA proper...orange, ventura and san diego counties are much more my style, if i must go to southern CA at all...

sorry i can't help more! try UCLA med ed. i know they do take elective students in a lot of rotations.

the problem with setting up an elective with a ucla or usc or even a uci affiliated site is that I'm a 3rd year student. Most schools, including those, only take 4th year visiting students. 🙁
