I am looking at the schools that I eventually plan to apply to and I am wondering what sort of electives did you take?

My first school choice is Creighton Distance program, otherwise it looks like my other option is San Francisco (can't move my family for school, I am in San Jose, CA). I know hat there is UoP and then the one starting up in Sacramento, but, those are over 80 miles away. I don't know if the schools i plan to apply to make a difference in the electives.

For instance, is it a good idea to take classes that are available to Pharm tech students or do I want to stay away from those?

Thank you for any help. The advisors at my school aren't helpful unless I plan to attend Univeristy of Arizona.

There are no 'electives' per se. There's a bunch of specific classes you must take and a few that you get to chose within a specific type of class. Most schools want some sort of communications class, some will specify public speaking. Most schools will want a couple social/behavioral science classes, some will specify psy/soc 101. Look up the requirements for the schools you want to go to. You can find those on PharmCAS's school listing or the school's website. If you plan on completing your reqs in 2 years, chances are you wont have time to complete any 'extra' classes beyond the pre-reqs.

hm, ok, I guess I will contact the school because it shows that I need 21 credits of electives, nine of those I can choose between humanities or behavioral or social sciences.

thank you for your help.

If they leave it up to you to decide on those classes, find out what your 2nd and 3rd choices require and take those classes. No sense in doing extra work.
