hey trying to set up electives in ortho.....i was thinking of doing a second ortho elective vs a 4 week Gen Surg Sub-I. The hospital is a really good one, however it does not have its own dedicated residents in either field so id be doing it for the faculty LOR (which would be Ivy League caliber). Think i should do more ortho or look for a gen surg letter to show i can manage surgical patients. For what its worth I am also doing a SICU rotation and will have 1 or 2 LOR's from Orthopods that I am shadowing while studying for CK/CS. Any ideas regarding making my application as competitive as humanly possible please hit this thread up!
