Okay so i'm getting confused with the electrolyte changes in renal disease and with all the talk about crazy up/down arrow pathophysio questions I wanted to get this straight.

So with ATN you can have the Oliguric phase and the Recovery phase.

Oliguric: Increased - Phosphate, K+, Mg+; Decreased - Na+, Ca+ and a High Anion Gap Acidosis

Recovery: Increased - Na+; Decreased - K+, Phosphate, Mg+, Ca+

-----is this correct? would you still have the high anion gap acidosis in recovery?

I assume with ATN this is acute renal failure...how would this change in chronic renal failure?

Thanks in advance!
