Is it a bad idea to request LORs electronically through Interfolio? Do some schools require official letterheads and signatures?

Is it better to have all my letter writers send a physical letter? Do they have to send it to each school individually or can I have them send a physical letter to interfolio?

I am confused because it'd be really convenient to have my letter writers send it directly to interfolio, but I just read that some schools might require official letterheads. How do I find out which schools require official letterheads?

Thanks

BUMP... c'mon guys someone help me! I already posted in the LOR thread and got no replies!

A lot of people use electronic submission. Most professors use letterhead anyway, but you can request it just in case. They also usually have a letterhead template in MS word so they can still submit electronically. Interfolio has a way for you to e-sign the letter. If all else fails, they may just scan the letter into a pdf and upload.

Chances are, you professors have done this sort of thing before.

I would just send via mail because not all professors are computer savvy. Last thing you want is your application on hold because one of your rec letter was missing a signature or was not on an official letter head.
