Electronics with educational stipend..

Do all institutions exclude electronics from the educational stipend? I'm bummed because I need a new laptop.. 😡

I don't think so. I heard many residents talking about buying laptops or iPads with their educational money when I was interviewing.

I can't because I am at a public institution. We really pushed for it too but they said it doesn't look good for the state to be buying electronics and just giving them to us. We have had them gift apps for iPad and iPhones. But sadly no gadgets here

Then do the audio digest workaround, and buy that (and get the free ipad).

We can buy electronics. I know their utilization will never be 100% for educational purposes, but in the electronic age it's kind of silly to exclude them.
