When i'm watch chads videos for chem, whenever there is an elemental state such as Cl, he writes it as Cl(2) and kind of just expects us to know it.
Do we have to know the elemental states of all elements for the DAT??
is there a list of the most common elemental states?

Yes, basically your diatomics..As Chad says: Never have fear of ice cold beer, N2, H2, F2, O2, I2, Cl2, Br2

another easy way to remember it is by putting them all together: Br I N Cl H O F... pronounced like "Brinklehoff"

Atleast that's the way I was taught and it has stuck with me for years now!

ahhh ok i remember learning that in one of his videos from a while back

i knew there was something like that but i couldnt find it in my notes! i was going crazy haha

thanks again!
