Hi Everyone,

As the title suggests, I am planning to move to Canada and right now looking into taking the Eligibility Exam at the University of Toronto.

Being in the UK, I do not know anyone in Dentistry in Canada, so am hoping that with this post, you would be kind enough to suggest how best to prepare for the E.E. Ideally i'd like to take it in September 2005 however I do not have an appreciation of how much preparation typically it will take to secure a good enough grade to get a place on the Qualifying Program at the University of Toronto.

So far I have been advised the following:

- To order the NBDE-1 and NBDE-2 material. That I started looking into then I was told that this material is US material and not specifically for the Eligibility Exam. Some however have said that this does cover what is required for the E.E.

- To go tothe ACFD and look at the information there (not a lot from my intial impression). Since ACFD are the adminstrators of the E.E. I have called them but they did not tell me anything useful.

I do feel a little lost and not sure what is the best avenue to take at this point. My fiance is in the UK at this time but has lived in Mississauga , working in the GTA for the previous 4 years (He is a British and Canadian Citizen). The aim is for us to move early in 2007 and for me to undertake the Qualifying Program at the University of Toronto in April 2007.

One thing I have noticed from the chat boards elsewhere is that it appears very hard to get a place at the University of Toronto ...I know I am limiting my options by saying this but based on our future plans, Toronto is where we want to be, and considering we are moving from here, in the UK, we can ONLY really start planning if I get a place in Toronto's QP.

I'll try and be positive. Hopefully hear from you soon. I hope to decide ASAP whether I should sit the EE in Sept 2005, if so, I will need to apply to take it then fairly soon and get going with revision... Please advise on the above, primarily what material I will require to cover the EE as comprehensively as possible ...as well as the other points I have mentioned above.

Thank you all. ..
