Hey guys,

Getting ready to start studying for EM boards.
For my text, I'm using First Aid for EM Boards + Just The Facts.
What should I use for questions?

I heard that PEER VII is pretty good and similar questions often appear on the actual test but unfortunately has its share of irrelevant questions/material.
What did everyone else use and find helpful?
PEER VII is the only one that I've heard of so far.
Any recommendations/reviews would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a bunch!

I am also taking the written exam this year.

It seemed like no one was answering this question so I did a little searching and found a few threads from the past 4 years or so about studying for the written exam.

in case you want a summary of what is said, the major recommendations are PEER VII and the Rivers book (which is no longer being published). A bunch of people mentioned the National Board Review course. 1,000 questions book and the Promes EM Board Review book were each mentioned by one person. I looked these up on Amazon and the Promes book gets some fairly mediocre reviews, the 1,000 questions book seems to fare better review-wise. I think there will always be a few people who will say "it has irrelevant questions" about any resource.

I hope that is helpful.

thanks! cool.
I wonder if fellows can qualify for the 'resident' price?.... 🙂

Peer VII and 1000 questions are good. On Spaced.com you can have peer VII questions delivered to your email daily (40 free for full it's about $100).

Has anyone tried the iphone apps for board review questions/quizzes? Mainly I am wondering about the OHIO ACEP one (50 bucks) and the Physician Q&A ($29.99)... I like using my iphone for quizzes.

Thanks,
A
