EM / IM residency? any sense in that?

I would like to request your opinions on the posibility of 5 years double residency IM/EM.
If possible I would like to hear also from graduates of such programs or at least from those who knows someone as such, personally.

While we're at it, any accelerated residencies that anyone knows of will be welcome! I'm interested in cardiothoracic surgery and am already despising the seven years residency. As a question though, I had never heard of double residencies and wonder if I'm getting my hopes up over something that doesn't exist.
