Interviews are almost over and I thought it would be fun to give out awards to the programs who made the biggest impression in certain aspects of the interview process. Just copy and paste and keep it going. Add more awards if you want.

Best Pre-Interview Dinner/Activity:

Best Interview Lunch:
Personalized cupcakes- VTC

Best Swag:
Snowboard Bottle Opener- UTAH

Best/Worst Interview Question:[/U]
Be your own personal cheerleader- UT

Best pre-interview food: Yale (excellent tapas)
Best interview lunch: Maricopa (seared ahi tacos at upscale Mexican restaurant)

Best interview dinner: Downstate/Kings County - 6 course Italian dinner at Queen Marie's in Brooklyn ... If only they spent that money on hiring nursing staff

-------------------------------------

Best accommodations: Cincinnati 2-night stay comped by program; van ride to interview
Best pre-interview dinner: Indiana (PD greeted me by name before I introduced myself, then offered to get a beer for me)
Best day-of lunch: Northwestern, mexican food from Burrito Beach
Best tour of facilities: Cincinnati (went out on the helipad)

Really? Going on the helipad was a plus for you??! I mean I do appreciate programs with flight programs... BUT, I really don't need to see another helipad! They are always way out of the way and cold.

I have to say UNC had the best pre-interview dinner.

I loved the helipad tours just because they were beautiful views and then the tour guide would direct us towards the parts of town that residents lived in (and where not to)

Of course, it was California and not that cold. But helipads were definitely some of my favorite.

Best Interview Dinner : UCLA Olive View, hands down. PD directors wife cooks, the entire UCLA community comes out, people take shots of Patron... great time!

Best Interview Lunch : Stanford. AMAZING classy food.
