Took the shelf today. It was a beast! Way harder than the practice NBME (Form 1). Anyone else took it recently?
Taking it in a few weeks, but I'll update when I get the score. What did you use to study for it? I'm still flip-flopping between Case Files and PreTest.

I used pretest but didn't get to finish it. I thought it was good.

I just took it a little over a week ago, it was kinda really hard haha

I ended up meeting the honors cutoff for the shelf, which was a relief. Don’t know my final grade yet though. I scored 9% below the practice nbme on the real shelf. For future test takers, don’t be fooled by your nbme form 1 practice. Real thing is much harder.

How do the practice SAEM tests correlate with the difficulty of the actual exam? I take the saem exam for the rotation i’m on now.

I don't actually remember what I got on the SAEM practice exam specifically, but I think it ended up being fairly close. Practice was a few points higher than real. I only used CDEM and the quizlet cards from previous SAEM exams to study and got upper 80's, which met the cutoff for honors at my school. I would imagine it would be even easier if you've already done casefiles or pretest.
