Has anyone done an EM rotation at BAMC? If so could you please tell me about it? How many shifts/hours do students work? How busy is the center, how much competition is there for procedures, and would you do it again if you had the chance? Are there formal didatics or is it pretty much work and sleep?

I might have the opportunity to do my EM rotation at BAMC, but it would be very much at my own expense so I would really like to know if it is worth the cost and the time away from friends and girlfriend.

I'm biased, but its definitely worth it. I've been to all 3 army ER programs, and I chose this one. We are the only Level I trauma center, excellent teaching residents. Recently added 11 beds. 20% admission rate, I did several LPs, I&Ds, reductions when I was a med stud. All the splinting you could possibly want. PM me anytime and I'll tell you more.
