Hi to all!
I got a question regarding rotatitions leading to residency. I am required to do 12 weeks in medicine, can I do those 12 weeks of core rotations in Emeregency Medicine (subspecialty) or do I do EM as an elective? Or can I do 6 weeks of Medicine and 6 weeks of EM fullfilling all 12 weeks.

Thank you in advance

You should ask your school as they have different standards on what constitutes a "medicine" rotation.

We submit our preferences for our surgery & IM months (3 each). EM can be done as a part of your surgery rotation here, but not IM. (the ED is within the dept of surgery here - we don't have a residency, either)
