Hi folks,

If a school communicates who will be interviewing you ahead of time, is it acceptable/polite to email them a quick hello or introduction beforehand?

I would do that if applying for a job, but wondering what the proper decorum is here.

No - you will introduce yourself at the interview!
If you look up your interviewers, it's enough to know their role at the school, whether they are an MD or PhD and in what field.
Don't try to read up so much about them that you try to come off as an expert in their area - that can backfire.

Do not do this.
