Yes, it happened with emails from a few schools I applied to last year. Make sure to check your spam folder regularly.

If you have Gmail (or another reasonable mail client, I imagine) you can set up a filter that never sends email from a .edu or one containing 'AMCAS' or 'AAMC' to the spam folder.
I would do that. Very little spam coming from a .edu or containing AMCAS or AAMC.

Some people had interview invites sent to their spam folder and only found it about them by chance. Definitely make sure you check your spam folder regularly. I never had any problems with it, but people do.
