I know a couple of people have mentioned emailing POIs/programs to see if they're done extending invitations and offers. I'd like to email a professor who expressed interest in my application but from whom I have not heard anything--how have you guys been wording these emails?

Just keep it short and sweet...don't overthink it.

Dear Professor X,

I was very excited to hear that you were interested in my application. I am hoping to finalize my decision for next year and was hoping you might be able to provide some feedback regarding the status of my application for graduate study at the university of Y. Thank you for your time and your interest in my application.

Sincerely,

Z

Great, that helps a lot! Thanks!
