Emailing Lab PIs and sending follow up email

I emailed a lab PI about a potential lab research position. Working in his lab would be amazing bc the type of research that he does is perfectly suitable for my research interests. I should probably send a few more emails out to lab PIs but it would be great if this one worked out (if it doesn't, I'll just move on to other opportunities! lol) Anyhow, how many days should one wait before sending a follow up email (without annoying them)?

At least two weeks. After two, shoot them a quick e-mail to politely ask if there is anything else you can send them or if they have questions or something. Don't just ask "Didja get my email?"

If they don't respond after another 2 weeks, they probably won't ever.
