Emailing prelim program to let them know they're #1

I know that it can be important to let a specialty program know that they're you're #1 in the match list but is it important to let a prelim program know if they are? Out of the prelims I interviewed at, there was one that I really liked and am hoping to spend a year there working and learning. Any thoughts? Thanks!
