I know there is another thread on this topic, but I was hoping that current Peds residents or current applicants who have spoken with advisors could weigh in...
I asked an advisor at my school on his thoughts on emailing a program to show interest, and he told me if I know a program has been sending out invites, it would be appropriate to send an email to the Program Coordinator stating my interest.
On other threads advice has ranged from "don't send emails pre-interview EVER" to "skip over the PC and email straight to the PD."
I'm one of those people who tends to think every time I email I'm bothering someone, but I would love to hear from other peds people on advice they've gotten regarding this! Thanks!
