i did not take the nbme exams...

is there anybody who did not take ANY of the nbme exams (save the 150 free released questions) that did well on the real thing >220?

I didn't take the NBME exams and got a 221. Those exams aren't supposed to prepare you but to show you where you stand and whether you need to delay the test. You may get a high score without taking those tests just like you may live a long healthy life without once having a colonoscopy.

No, I did not take them either. I read about three of the 150 q's and thought to myself, "Uh, I can read questions by now- no more of this!".

My best friend did not take them, nor her study partner- she made a 229 and her partner a 230.
