would it be pretentious to embroidal (bad spelling) ones' name to OR cap. for example, on the side of the cap having:
John Doe M.D
Anesthesiology

i figured that would allow for people to know who u are since the room is knee deep in all kinds of personel.

Actually......if your hospital follows AORN rules in the OR, only disposable hats are allowed. Of course there are plenty of hospitals that pick and choose which AORN guidelines they will follow and which ones they won't. 😉

It would be slightly less pretentious (and tacky) than wearing 'muscle' scrubs (ala Dr. 90210) with [Your Name], M.D. Anesthesiology tattooed on your delts.

But hey... if you got it, flaunt it!
