Hey everyone,

Does anyone know what percentage of the USMLE Step 1 covers embryology and histology? Also on average how many questions people have seen and which topics were covered?

Thanks

embryo is exactly 2.65%. histology is 1.87%.
ok, i am joking. noone knows, because you could have 3-4 q's or 30-40 q's, there is simply no way to know.
best bet by most counts is to know it all as best you can, that being said, these two subjects are historically lower yield.

On average, embryology is considered low yield. I'm sure some people do have "embryo heavy" tests, but they're rare.

Histology depends on what you consider part of histology. Basic cells and tissue stuff like less useful. However, while it's still not one of the big subject areas, cell and molecular bio type stuff have been of increasing importance lately so give them a decent look over.
