Hi

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I'm really struggling with embryo ( takes me 8+ hours to read through the notes of lecture 1) and need some advice for additional resources. I'm using the Moore textbook, but frankly, I feel like it's a piece of garbage--the picture are not helping me to see where everything is going on at all. I can't see to find any online help-- like a timeline of pictures of each stage with an explanation, and I have no idea why this doesn't exist.

Thanks

I used Langman's Medical Embryology and this website for the embryology lectures I've had so far:

Langman's. Short and sweet.

Langman's is a good book, and the Kaplan videos are pretty great too for embryo, though they can be long.

+1 for Langman's

Check for videos, my 3rd year mentor said there are some good videos about. I haven't looked because I finally got a hold on it. But check it out

Langman's is a good book. For Embryology, we had it combined with Histology, it wasn't too difficult, but make sure you can memorize/recite what happens. Almost like playing a video back in your head. It'll help you on test questions when you're trying to remember what happens when and what develops into what.

Normally, I'm not a fan of Kaplan (despite being a foreign student :O ) but embryology videos literally saved my ***. The guy is an amazing teacher who does a really good job explaining how it all works. My school recommended Langman's. However, while the first part of the book was ok, I found the development of systems soooooo confusing and impossible to learn from a textbook. Those videos were priceless.

Any recommendations on books/websites specific to GU embryology?
