I am a junior in undergrad at Penn State. I debating what classes to take in the spring as I will be applying for dental schools this June. Would you recommend taking an upper level embryology or an upper level histology this semester? I plan to take both by the time I graduate but only will take one next semester.

Thanks

Hey, if i remember correctly both of those classes are taught by Strauss so they'll both be fairly difficult lol. I took Histology when i was there, it was an awesome class! Probably learned more than any other class in histology. Its tough tho! Id go Histology! haha

Histology!👍

Take Histology. This will help you in Dental school. You will probably only have a couple lectures dealing with embryology.

most schools dont teach embryology...if anything maybe the dermal origins of tooth anatomy...histology is taught everywhere (in some form). take it with strauss and prepare for ds

I agree with everyone: take histology over embryo. At SB, they care about teaching us embryo so little that we learn it off a CD of powerpoints then take an online test on our own time. Histology was part of our physio class and I assume you will inherently learn about physiology by taking it as a separate class.
