it varies by location, specialty,and prior experience but the following are probably reasonable averages for new grads(maybe more on the west coast and less in big east coast cities):
primary care( fp, peds, im, ob )55-65k/yr
im specialties(hematology, allergy, neuro, rheumatology, etc):60-70 k/yr
surgery/ortho/er: 65-75k/yr
(less for er if it only fast track or urgent care, more like primary care range then)
cardiothoracic surgery generally starts at 80k+ but they work you like a dog with lots of call, etc.
