My bro was going to do EM like me but he wants to live in LA above all else so he is going to do FM or psychiatry .

I feel so foolish that in the past I thought I was better than those specialties

Speaking of Psych in SoCal, I noticed this PE-backed company Lifestance that has bought up a lot of Psych practices and is soon to go public.

Apparently their MO is to have MDs, NPs and Psychologists work together at all their clinics. Maybe that’s common now, but increasing non-MD positions will eventually drop MD openings I bet.

Was there a lawsuit? Doesn’t matter then.

Lawsuit? Ha! Goodluck suing a midlevel. Their malpractice insurance cap is low and they are judged to a different standard. They are compared to their peers (another NP). Most lawyers go after the supervising MD.
