Does anyone know of any good Electodiagnostic/EMG fellowships? From what I've heard from my attendings, most fellowships favor neuro residents, and that a good EMG fellowship is hard to find.

Also, I've read somewhere that there may be programs that are only 6 months long.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

There are three Harvard (MGH, BWH, & BIDMC) fellowships and all of them are well-respected from what I've heard. We rotate through the MGH & BWH program so I know that these programs are open to Physiatrists. I've noticed that very few Partners Neurology residents pursue a Neurophysiology fellowship. I don't think these fellowships are that competitive in general. The reason that you might not see many Physiatrists doing these fellowships is because not many are interested in doing them. By the time most of our residents are finished with residency, we complete 225+ studies.

Thanks for the post Stinky.

Which of the three would you recommend? Are they competitive, considering they carry the Harvard name?
