For those who have been given an interview at Emory...

How long were you complete before it was offered? Has anyone who was complete after 10/3 been given an interview yet?

I am not sure when I was complete, but this will still interest you. I [and my roommate too] have been having trouble actually getting mail/emails telling us about interviews. So I contacted the two schools that I have not heard about an interview from yet. Only one replied so far [Emory], and they told me I was granted an interview Monday and should call to schedule one. Talk about a broken system. I usually cannot stand those people that call schools over and over again b/c I think it is just annoying. However, I think I might become one of those people since there is obviously some form of communication issue between appliacants and schools.

it took about a month. I was complete mid-late august and got and invite mid-late september.

Well if it took a month in mid-august...then it will definately take more than a month now with august mcat out there...i guess they prolly havent seen my application yet then...still hoping i get an interview

I've been complete at Emory since 9/12, maybe I'll call them and see what my status is.

I've been complete for eons but I haven't heard anything. Anybody know if they'll send out pre-interview rejections at this point or if they wait until the spring?

they wait until end of February, your application is looked at 3-4 times if you are in the "maybe" pile throughout the season.

I wouldn't worry too much yet. This process is ridiculous and arbitrary. I have an interview invite from Emory after 3.5 weeks ... but nothing from Jefferson, Temple, or Drexel after being complete there for over two months? 😕

How long did it take for your file to be completed? Emory cashed my check 9/29, and then I finally got a "your file is complete" email on 10/26. Is that normal?

My recommendations and payment were received in mid-August and I didn't receive the complete email until early/mid-September. It seems that a 3-4 week turnaround is pretty normal (at least for the two of us).
