Very eager to go to Emory SOM. It is hard to tell from Reddit and other platforms what Emory truly wants in an applicant that receives interview invites and eventual acceptances. For people that were accepted/attend, would you be willing to share advice/tips/or what you think really stood out on secondaries/interviews/applications. Thank you.

They definitely like student athletes, candidates from prestigious colleges, and lots of research experience. But I guess you could say that about all the top 25 med schools.

Crazy how much attention the student athletes get. If I knew that, I'd sign myself up quicker than a sticker

There is nothing really specific you can do. All medical schools are very competitive, and getting into a specific school like Emory is even harder. If you are not applying this cycle, you best course of action would be to have strengths in all components of your future application (grades, MCAT, clinical hours, service to those less fortunate etc).
