Just wondering if anyone knows if emory students are at a disadvantage when it comes to matching at northeast residencies.
Most of the med students seem to stay in the south (or at Emory) and I was wondering if this is reflective of the geographic biases of the student body or a sign that programs up north are less likely to take emory grads.

thanks for the help

I'm working at NIH as an IRTA this year and Emory's reputation is very good with the PIs in my and other labs. I don't know if DC is northeast enough for you and if NIH researchers have the same opinion as residency directors but based on my experience, I wouldn't worry about it.
