Will they tell? I didn't think of that, maybe I'll call them and see. However, I've basically written them off, as they surely have with me.

I don't think they will say anything. In their e-mail, they were really trying to keep this whole process hidden... so I'm guessing we just have to suffer. I think this is ridiculous because if we have no realistic chance than they should let us know. I also called before may 15 and they said they can't tell me anything not even how many were on the list .
they interview about 780 or so. and offer maybe 200 spots to those people and then I'm guessing they offer waitlist spots to the rest of the 580 and about 300 choose to stay on the list. cause I havn't heard of anyone getting rejected after an interview and also the e-mail said the waitlist is huge!!
When is the Emory waitlist going to start moving. I hate all this damn secrecy its like the CIA. Its a coverup.

I actually thought I was going to get rejected because I didn't get the mass email. They said they were just starting to pull from the list. One week to decide...

Hey Jennifer, Congrats!! Did you tell them they were your first choice? How many updates did you send them? Also, has anyone asked for their relative status on the "unranked" waitlist? I called but she wouldn't tell me and instead she told me how it was "unranked" (like I didn't know. 🙄

did anyone call emory and see what the deal is? they keep saying late may early june and the only one so far that we know of thats moved from the alternate listwas from georgia... so does that mean the rest of us have to wait another 2 weeks??

OK, so we have one post of somebody accepted off of the list. Does anybody know of anyone else using SD.net or not that has been taken off of the list? 😕
Also, guys, I called last Wednesday and asked the lady if they had received my updated transcript, LOR, and letter of intent. She said that she didn't see my file!! I freaked! But then she asked me my name and then told me that she could not look in it now--it was not with the others--but would call me back...
She called back and said everything had arrived. I think this means they are reviewing the apps (hence mine was not with the others) or something. Any opinions??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

anyone hear anything recently from emory? there should be some movement this and next week supposedly. I heard from someone that just finished their first year that someone in his class got his girlfriend off the waitlist. maybe he had nothing to do with it, but she has been accepted!! but anyway, please post if you have any new info for the rest of us, thanks!
I was accepted at Emory by a call from admissions tonight. SO HAPPY. 😀 Looks like I am headed to Emory unless financial aid is horrible. A spot at MCV will most likely open up soon. Good luck to all!
Around 6:30 PM. I have a feeling that they usually call in the afternoon, but were running late that day. They could have called at 2AM and I would have answered immediately.

Funny you mention cell phone, I called them up and gave them more contact info, and they called my apartment and my cell phone. Best voicemail message ever (just said to call them, they had some news). I sent an update letter, and I had the doc's I work with send letters of recommendation. Guess it worked.

No news yet. However, I am sure that people have gotten off the waitlist by now but that we have just not heard about it. Anyways, this school seems to be pretty rude and uninformative-I am seriously annoyed with them since they basically gave us no info about the waitlist. I'll let you know if I hear though!
