Hey guys I was just wondering if schools actually contact your previous employers, since we have to provide them with phone numbers. I didn't have any bad work experiences or anything, but I just want to know if I should warn my previous employers that they may be getting a call or not.

Good question. I think they might if they are asking for the phone number, but most likely not.

I'm not really sure and I was wondering the same thing because I worked at a pizza parlor a few years back but did not keep in touch with my boss plus I think the management switched up a bit... feels a bit weird to be giving their phone number when I worked there years ago and never kept in touch. I was thinking of not including it in my app.

I'm curious too. I emailed optomcas and this is what they said:

"Optomcas will not contact your employers but the designated programs will."

I just started a temp job but don't want them to know about it. Do the schools really call and contact all your employers? 😕
