EMS Fellowship

Hey guys,
I'll be applying to med school this cycle so I know I have a long way to go before I even need to think about fellowships, but right now I'm strongly considering EM because I've volunteered/worked several years as an EMT and I would love to be able to stay involved in EMS after med school. I've had to work closely with several medical directors over the past few years, some who were very good and others who barely even knew what EMS was, so I know what a difference a good medical director can make. So I was just wondering exactly how competitive are EMS fellowships? I looked at the SAEM website and it seems that most accept only 1 or 2 fellows each year.

Not that competitive. Do a search in this forum as this topic has been discussed on several occasions. Basically there are plenty of EMS fellowships available, so you should find one without any problem at all.
