Hey everyone I have an interview for a medical scribe position through EMSS. I'm extremely excited but also very nervous! I really want this job because I love the ER and I know it is a great opportunity. I was wondering if anyone who has gone through this process before can please help me out? What interview questions were you asked? I heard at the end of the training there is a final exam, what is the exam like? How was the pay?

Interview wasn't too bad but I applied for a site that desperately needed new scribes. Standard interview questions really. I had classroom and bedside training shifts after. Final exam after completing bedside which was easy, but adjusting to the shifts at first was a challenge cause of the pace of working in the ED.

Pay is awful. $8.50/hr to start and less than a dollar raise after a year. Scribe companies like these take advantage of premed kids looking for clinical experience. But, you do get some great experience and I think it was still worth it. Congrats and good luck!

I work as a scribe. The interview was between myself and a ~25ish "boss." That is to say that it was very casual. The interview is where you get to show them you're going to be a pleasure to work with (like any job). Definitely add that you like working overnights and picking up extra shifts because you're a night owl and workaholic. Most places are desperate for scribes like that.

Thank you 🙂 one more question what was the format of the final

Okay thanks ...the only time I can work is a couple of over night shifts so that works

Thanks I hope you're right lol
I have not. Although New York and California are expensive places to live, so you can probably expect to be paid around the same amount.

Multiple choice and fill in the blank. Same format for classroom training quizzes. There's some standardized material they'll give you to study before training starts

Okay thank you. How long did it take them to call you after the interview
