I am a currently a massage therapist and have been working in this field for the last 2 years. I am off to do my EMT training and go ride around for a while to see how I like working in an emergency/medical setting. Then my plan is to start taking pre-reqs for nursing after working in the field for a while. Some other friends of mine in nursing said this is a good way to go.

Does anyone have anything to add on that, and comments about how to do that with ease ? I know EMTs can work in the hospitals sometimes right ?

anyway.... any resources, information, or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for checking out my post!

Get a job as an ER tech as soon as you can. I did that during nursing school and it helped me immensely. The rigs won't give you that kind of experience. Do both if you can. That will be the best experience for you IMHO. I would also try to get on the waiting list to the programs you are considering as soon as you can, as some of the lists can be pretty long.
Good luck,
Pat
