To my knowledge these are rare and don’t serve too much of a purpose unless there is a specific school you are REALLY gunning for. You aren’t going to do anything hands on at a different school except assist. And if you show up trying to be a hot shot and impress everyone, you’ll make things worse for yourself. But if you think it’s worth assisting, getting to know people, and just sitting around listening, go for it. It could help for that specific school if it goes well…Besides surfing the link below, you’ll probably have to check each programs specific site unfortunately.

Where can I do endodontics externships?
I'm going to be starting dental school in the summer and just want to start thinking ahead. I don't want to wait till the last minute! I am going to get involved in endo research right away.
